Senior Citizens Pool Party at Oak Ridge Pool Aug. 2

The Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department will sponsor a Senior Citizens Pool Party on Aug. 2 at the Outdoor Pool, 172 Providence Road.

Oak Ridge Pool is one of the largest spring-fed pools in the Southeast. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 2, the pool is reserved for seniors 50 and older. There will be games and door prizes, along with the opportunity to swim in one of the largest spring-fed pools in the Southeast, according to the city news release.

A light lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. on a first come, first served basis while it lasts. The event is free for seniors age 50 and older, but the news release urges those interested to call the Oak Ridge Senior Center at (865) 425-3999 by Friday, to reserve a spot.

Also, the Senior Center building will be closed until 1 p.m. on Aug. 2.
