About Reva

Reva O’Hallarn, or Swim History Girl, is a clinical psychologist, lifeguard, and life-long distance swimmer who has turned her passion for history and swimming into the blog Swim History Girl via  https://swimhistorygirl.blog.

The important relationship between fitness (especially swimming), community, and mental health inspired Reva to dive into the preservation campaign for the Big Pool. It was love at first sight when Reva and her family visited Oak Ridge Outdoor Pool in 2021. They returned in 2024 and it won’t be too long before they take the Big Pool plunge again.
