Overview of Dive AI & AI Technology
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that focuses on creating systems capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks include understanding natural language, recognizing patterns, making decisions, and learning from experience. Recent advancements in AI, such as machine learning and natural language processing, have significantly enhanced its capabilities and accessibility, allowing for more sophisticated and user-friendly applications. AI was leveraged primarily to discover, sort, and prioritize large sets of data, for example, the full text of recent City Council Meeting minutes, 2020-2024 Recreation & Parks Board meeting minutes to present, and procured press coverage from 1944 to the present day.
AI Implementation for Dive AI
Dive AI was created to advocate for the preservation of the historic 1945 outdoor pool in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, which was part of the Manhattan Project. Inspired by the need to raise awareness and educate the public about this heritage site, Dive AI uses advanced AI technologies to provide an engaging and informative experience. The chatbot shares the rich history of the pool, answers questions, and engages users in conversations about its significance and the ongoing efforts to preserve it.
Dive AI is informed by DeepDive AI, a model that exists within a custom Open AI GTP that leverages the long-term memory of our set data set. Additionally, like Dive, DeepDive benefits from continued machine learning and fine-tuning. Additionally, we work with Anthropic AI’s Claude, Microsoft Azure, and Google’s Gemini to process data and generate accurate information.
Expected Impact and Benefits
Dive AI has just launched, but we expect it to make a significant impact in raising awareness about our beloved spring-fed outdoor pool. Users are praising the chatbot for its detailed and interactive storytelling, helping them understand the historical importance of the pool, and current efforts to remediate significant problems. The positive feedback and increased engagement will be crucial in garnering support for the preservation efforts.
Technology Components
Dive AI operates on a cutting-edge platform built with a combination of state-of-the-art cloud computing, open source, and commercial software. From the user’s browser to our site, multiple layers of network, infrastructure, security, and software create a seamless and secure “out-of-browser experience.” Here are the key components of our tech stack:
Domain Security and DNS Services: Our domain name is secured via DNSSEC at our domain registry. We utilize CloudFlare for DNS services, including Cloudflare Pro DNS, DDoS Protection, CDN, SSL, bot mitigation, and web application firewall (WAF). Our site is delivered through CloudFlare’s APO for WordPress and other advanced optimization services.
Hosting and Infrastructure: Dive AI is hosted on a robust single-tenant cloud virtual private server located in Vultr’s Atlanta datacenter, ensuring failover redundancy. Our WordPress instance is managed securely within Plesk’s management layer.
Primary Plugins and user interface design (UI): We leverage AI Engine Pro, Gravity Forms Elite Edition and Gravity Wizard (Gravity Perks). For the user interface, we use Divi and Divi-Pixel, which provide a sleek and intuitive design for our site.
Future Plans and Enhancements
Dive AI improves daily with use, feedback loops, additional training (machine learning). We continuously strive to enhance Dive AI’s capabilities and user experience. Future plans include incorporating more advanced AI features, such as voice interaction and augmented visual elements, to create an even more immersive experience. We update our technology stack regularly to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
